Postpartum + Parenting

1:1 sessions in person + via distance

The immediate postpartum period is one of the most expanding and metamorphic times in human life — for the newborn, the new (or new again) mother/ birthing person, and for the whole family.

This a season for resting and healing your body after the demands of labour and birth, to hold yourself tenderly, to honour, and to acknowledge the transformational journey of pregnacy and labour, and life after birth.

How women, birthing people and parents are supported and cared for by their close community in their immediate and ongoing postpartum matters. I believe that the presence of caring others who can provide encouragement, love and nurturing during the immediate postpartum period, is not only essential for postpartum healing — but essential for the postpartum person to thrive.

“As mothers we often feel neglected because we are too busy taking care of families. Lilly has a soft and nurturing presence that truly makes you feel the centre of the universe! I invited her to our house to help me work through some postpartum stuff and she REALLY listens with no judgement. Her kindness allowed me to really open up, release and work through some emotional blockages. If you are looking for someone to take care of you in your postpartum period I would highly recommend Lilly. You'll be met with nothing but love.”

These in-person offerings weave together the core principles of innate postpartum care — warmth, nutrition, rest, bodywork and community connection — providing a loving container of heartfelt attention and care. As your postpartum doula I offer a warm and judgement free space to feel wholeheartedly seen, heard and supported as you navigate these new waters. For those with new babes at home, in-person support also provides you with a unique opportunity to receive deeper rest, healing and joy as you nestle into a new routine with your little one(s).

In-person Support —

  • In-person daytime sessions lasting 3 hours with a focus on food

These sessions allow me to shop for your groceries and prepare nourishing meals in the comfort of your home. The foundation of these meals will be to deeply nurture and restore your body, and draw upon Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and my own ancestral postpartum traditions. Each session includes one home cooked meal with 2-4 serves, a sweet or snack, and an herbal tea or infusion.

During these sessions I will also provide loving guidance surrounding infant feeding, newborn care & baby wearing, share community resources and offer practical support such as light housework and care of older siblings. I’ll also help facilitate time for your own self-care – including an herbal bath, pelvic steam or intuitive massage – and hold compassionate space for you to process your birth, adoption or surrogate experience.

Investment: $280 (3 hours) + cost of groceries if applicable

  • The First Forty Days (18 hours over 6 weeks)

For those looking for intentional, continuing in-person care during this tender season, I offer two extended postpartum packages for you to choose from. These offerings expand upon the care provided in the mini-in-home sessions, creating and nurturing a space where you’re feeling seen, heard and supported through the seismic shift that is early parenthood.

I’ll show up for you in this liminal space with practical support, hands on care, home cooked meals and a whole lotta love. It is my hope that you feel more rested, nourished and encouraged with me by your side postpartum – be that in the immediate days and weeks after baby arrives, after loss, or further along on your journey. Postpartum is forever.

Investment: The First Forty Days — $1680

  • This ceremony acknowledges and ritualises the immense transformation that you have undergone through pregnancy, labour and birth. Together we will collaborate on a deeply personal closing ceremony that creates room for healing to happen, while deeply nourishing and honouring your unique journey.

I draw upon wisdom, ceremony and ritual that is rooted in my own ancestral traditions, cross-cultural postpartum practices of warming and wrapping the body, and intuitive body / energy work. This offering creates a soft cocoon for you to sit in your metamorphosis and allows space for you to practice receiving considered care. This is a space that offers a grounding container for your body to safely land after birth. A space where softness is celebrated, where your whole self is welcomed.

Together, let’s reflect on how far you have come, and weave together a personalised ceremony that suits your individual needs in this moment. This session takes place over 3.5-4 hours either in your own home or other self- determined safe place. This can include (but is not limited to):

    • Holding compassionate space to share your birth story without judgment

    • Herbal steam bath to allow space to reconnect to and honour your body - promoting warmth in the body, healing and release.

    • Intuitive womb and body massage that provides nurturing touch using handcrafted herbal oils to ground you in your body

    • A gentle but firm full body wrapping ritual which provides the whole body with a tender hug and draws the pelvic bones back together after birth

    • Nourishing, gentle hand healing (Reiki) which can help stimulate and accelerate the body's own natural healing processes, bringing it back into balance and alignment.

    • Warm tea, treats and room to take breaks as needed

    • Full set up and pack down of the ceremony space

These ceremonies are open to any person who is in their postpartum — meaning if you have been pregnant for any period of time and experienced birth/early pregnancy release, then you are postpartum. I welcome you to honour your journey, to receive loving care, and to create space for healing to happen.

    Investment: from $300-360 (3.5-4 hours)

Note: Aspects of this ceremony, namely the full body wrapping with rebozo, were taught to me by Mexican midwife Naolí Vinavar. I honor and pay my respects to her, and her ancestors who offer this practice. I also acknowledge my maternal ancestors, Gaelic and Celtic peoples, who practiced similar wrapping, steaming and warming rituals following rites of passage.
